Well i am not a professional player up to now but I have learned some playing strategies to win the game.
In the earlier days as a beginner, my gaming strategy was to concentrate on starting hands and always tried to play good starting hands, The most interesting thing is that I won most of the games I played _________________ http://www.poker-wager.org/ |

it is funny you say that
I won my biggest game - just shortly after I started playing - when I was still thinking hard - as to what is higher a flush or a fullhouse.
I guess I was real timid - played only good hands....
-----------------
I am no pro - by any means - but I do play a lot and love the game.
as far as style - I guess - patience is the number one I try to follow. _________________ I like to be right, but what i really want is to win!

| I also found when I first started that I would only play good hands, but found that this made me easy for the other players to read - so now I have loosened up and find that this works for me...now at least the other players don't know what I will come up with next. |

I also find that my style changes depending on who I am playing with.
In a small group - forum game - where I play often - I tend to play better - and I show cards A LOT (ok we all know that is a no no - I do it anyway)
On the other hand in a bit higher stake big tourney - I am a lot more intense - I mix the play more - and seldom show cards
Cheers
